OUR GOD REVEALS

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
The king said to Daniel (also known as Belteshazzar), “Is this true? Can you tell me what my dream was and what it means?” Daniel replied, “There are no wise men, enchanters, magicians, or fortune-tellers who can reveal the king’s secret. But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future. Now I will tell you your dream and the visions you saw as you lay on your bed.”
Daniel 2:26-28 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
King Nebuchadnezzar was on the verge of executing all the wise men of Babylon because no one could tell him his dream—much less its meaning. Then Daniel boldly stepped forward and declared, “There is a God in heaven who reveals secrets.” Daniel acknowledged a critical truth: human wisdom has limits, but God’s wisdom is limitless.
Daniel didn’t rely on his own intellect or training—though he had both. Instead, he looked to the God who knows all things. His faith opened the door for God to reveal not only the king’s dream but also its interpretation, which saved lives and elevated Daniel to a position of great influence.
This passage reminds us of a vital principle:
God doesn’t need your resume—He responds to your faith.
God is still looking for people today who are bold enough to admit, “I don’t have all the answers—but I know the One who does.” This kind of humility invites divine wisdom and supernatural insight.
Let’s be clear: education is valuable—I’ve spent years pursuing it myself. But education without dependence on God can lead to arrogance. True wisdom begins with recognizing that we don’t know everything—and trusting the God who does.
The smartest person isn’t the one with the highest degree, but the one who knows where to turn when human wisdom runs out.
Let’s choose to lean into God’s wisdom and creativity. He’s not just the God of information—He’s the God of revelation.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit, fill me with Your wisdom and creativity. Help me to look beyond my own intellect and lean into Your insight and direction. I trust You to reveal what I cannot see and to guide me where I cannot go on my own. Amen.
