TODAY’S THOUGHT
The Bible never attempts to prove the existence of God. The Bible begins with, “In the beginning God….” There is no attempt to convince us that God exist. In Hebrews 11, the great chapter on faith, we are told that anyone who comes to God must believe that He exists. In our passage in Psalms 14 we are told, “Only fools say in their hearts, ‘There is no God.’” In Psalms 19:1 we are told “the heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” In Romans 1:20 Paul tells us, “For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Even though the Bible does not argue for the existence of God the creation of God does declare the existence of God. When we observe the order of creation and the wonder of what God has made, we must admit the existence of God. When there is a design, there must be a designer. Anything left to itself tends to decline and move towards chaos. If there is order, there must be some force directing that order. The order of our planet and our universe tells me there is a controlling force. Since God is a God of order and design, I can be confident that He is working in and through my life. He is my Designer. I trust His design in my life.

Holy Spirit thanks for working in and through my life. Thanks for helping me to be the person You want me to be.
