THE PAST CANNOT DESTROY OUR PRESENT AND FUTURE
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Our God is a forgiving God. He wants to wash away our sin and allow us to live in forgiveness and freedom. But we must accept that forgiveness.
I have worked through the years with many individuals who could not forgive themselves for the sin and failures of their life. They believed in God’s grace and mercy but struggled with the ability to forgive themselves.
I believe that Satan works overtime to keep the videos of our failures playing in our heads. We must lean into the presence of the Holy Spirit to remove those videos. It is not God playing those scenes Those videos are the work of our enemy and our flesh.
It is crucial that we learn the Word of God and use that Word against the temptation to watch those videos of our failure again. We must speak forgiveness over the failures. It may take a hundred times speaking the Word before we win the full victory.
We can’t allow our past to destroy our present and our future. That is why Jesus died on the cross. Let’s apply to our hearts and minds Jesus’ work.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit I ask for Your help in forgiving myself. Help me today to choose to live in forgiveness and freedom.
