FEELINGS DON’T PLEASE GOD
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!”
Job 1:21 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Job is a picture of great loss. In one day, he lost his camels, oxen, sheep, family, and health. With no warning he goes from great wealth to poverty. From health to sickness. From a large family to no one.
Instead of throwing a pity party Job chooses to fall to the ground and worship God. He reminds himself that everything he had comes from God and therefore God has the right to take it back.
There are those moments in life when things don’t make sense. Times when we get frustrated, confused, and even angry. I still have those moments even after years of following Jesus and being in ministry. I know God is working but it doesn’t seem that He is doing it at the pace I think He should.
Here is the good news, God can handle your doubt, anger, fear, grief, confusion, and questions. He does not get angry when we express our doubt and fears. God understands our humanity.
But we must make a choice. A choice that we will worship by faith not by feelings. We don’t have to deny that we feel horrible, frustrated, confused, afraid, and even angry. But regardless of how I feel I choose to place my faith in God.
Faith, not feelings is what pleases God. He is ok with us having human feelings. He is honored when we choose to have faith even in our pain.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit help my faith today in the middle of my storm. Help me to praise God even in the pain of my life. I choose to declare that You are God and You are making all things right.

He is God. He is working. There is good coming on the other side.
Thank you Lord for my life and I know that everything will be alright in your timing .
