TODAY’S THOUGHT
What I say determines who I am! If I say that I am a loser, I am a loser. If I say I can’t do it, I can’t. If I say I am a failure, I will fail. How we identify ourselves will determine our identity. When we speak negative of ourselves our mind will work to create that identity. Subconsciously my entire being will work to align my identity with what I declare about myself. That is why it is crucial to declare I am who God says I am. I can do what God says I can do. I choose to declare that I am a new person in Christ. Everything of my old life is gone and I have new life in and through Jesus. I am a new creation created in the image of Christ. My old habits, hang-ups, and hurts do not have control over me because I am a new person. Daily I am being transformed into the image of Christ. This is a daily transformation. The process is not always upwards—there will be moments when we digress, but I’m moving closer each day to the person God created me to be. I’m not the same person I used to be and I’m not the person I’m going to be.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit help me to see myself the way God sees me. Help me to declare with my mouth who I am. Help me to see God’s potential in my life.
