TODAY’S THOUGHT
During this Christmas season we should pause and reflect on the incredible love God expressed to humanity by sending Jesus into our world. We should be amazed at God’s love for fallen humanity. We should rejoice that God has chosen to love us regardless of our imperfections, flaws, and sins.
When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden God gave them a promise of one who would come to free them from their sins. For thousands of years God gave to man continued revelation of His plan. Man did not comprehend the fullness of God’s plan. But there was a group of people who developed a dependence on Jehovah God and were awaiting His promise to be fulfilled.
Throughout history God always has those who continue to trust Him. It is easy to miss the message God is trying to give us because we get distracted by so many things.
Even at Christmas we can get so distracted by so much activity that we fail to pause and reflect on the incredible message of hope that Christmas brings.
Through Jesus we have been freed from our sins. We have a hope for eternal life. We can live in fellowship with God right now because through Jesus we have been declared right with God.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit help me today to be recognize the incredible gift of Jesus. Help me to share that gift with others.
