WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.”

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What is your internal view of yourself? This is one of the most powerful questions you can ask, because your self-view is the engine that drives your thoughts, your reactions, and your behavior.
If you have internalized a story that says you are "unlovable," you will see rejection in every room you enter. If your story says you are only valuable when you are "successful," you will spend your life on an emotional roller coaster, swinging between highs and lows based on your latest performance.
In Ephesians 1, the Apostle Paul invites us to tear up our old scripts and replace them with God’s permanent declaration over us.
The Four Pillars of Your New Identity
You are Blessed: God has blessed you with "every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms.” When you chose to follow Jesus, the windows of heaven were opened to you. You are not operating from a place of lack, but from a position of abundance.
You are Chosen and Blameless: Before the world was even made, God chose you. He doesn't just see your "rubble"; He sees you as "holy and without fault in His eyes." Through Christ, the record of your past has been traded for His perfect righteousness.
You are Adopted: God didn't just "tolerate" you; He decided in advance to bring you into His family. This wasn't a chore for Him, it gave Him "great pleasure." You are a son or daughter, not a servant.
You are Wise: God has showered you with "all wisdom and understanding." Through the Holy Spirit living in you, you have access to the mind of Christ for every decision you face. You no longer have to navigate life by your own limited understanding.
Change Your Story
Your "story" is no longer about your failures, your family history, or your performance. Your story is now about God's glorious grace. If God says you are holy, wise, and adopted, then any thought that says otherwise is a lie that must be taken captive.
Let’s stop trying to "earn" a seat at the table and start living like we’ve already been invited.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit, help me to internalize the view God has of me. When the old labels of "not enough" or "unworthy" try to stick, remind me of my true identity. Help me to live today in the freedom and favor of a child of God. Amen.
