HOW GOD RE-SYNCS OUR LIVES

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
The first transformation in our thinking begins with a personal encounter with Jesus through the Word of God. John tells us that Jesus was the "Word made flesh" (John 1:14). He came as the living Word so that we could study His life through the Scriptures and discover the very heart of God.
The writer of Hebrews describes the Bible this way:
“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit... It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” — Hebrews 4:12 (NLT)
Exposing the Blind Spots
We all have "blind spots"—attitudes, actions, or words that are out of alignment with God’s will, but we simply can’t see them on our own. When we expose our minds to the Word, it acts like a spiritual mirror, opening our eyes to the truth about ourselves.
The Doctor’s Report
Think about our text: “It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” If you go to a doctor because you aren't feeling well, you don't just want a diagnosis; you want a cure. You wouldn’t trust a doctor who tells you exactly what is wrong but admits they have no idea how to fix you.
God’s Word is the ultimate physician. It doesn't just point out where we are messing up; it gives us the blueprint for how to get back on track.
Equipped for the Mission
God has a specific work for you to do. He wants you prepared, ready, and fully equipped. If our lives are "out of sync," we cannot fully accomplish the mission He has placed before us.
Let’s make a commitment to expose our minds to God’s Word daily. Let it fine-tune your heart, so you are ready for every good work He has prepared for you in 2026.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit, give me the discipline to seek Your Word every day. I pray that You use the Scriptures to diagnose the areas in my life that need adjustment and teach me how to walk in Your ways. Prepare me today for the good works You have for my life. Amen.
