REFLECT THE IMAGE

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Like Father—like son!
As followers of Jesus, we are called children of God. As children of God, we have been chosen to become like Jesus. We should reflect the image of Christ to our world.
We are unique of all of God’s creation because we have been made in His image. We are eternal, just like our Heavenly Father. We were created to live in community—it is not good for man to be alone. God exist in a triune unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are created to live in relationship.
We have been created with the ability of reason and thought. This is part of the image of God.
We can know the difference in right and wrong. God instilled in humanity a moral code—often our culture causes us to allow the virus of sin to infect God’s original design for humanity. This sickness of sin can deaden our ability to have a proper moral compass. But through yielding to the Lordship of Jesus and inviting the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts we can see restoration of this image of God in our moral conscience.
We are to reflect the image of our Father in our present world. Let’s be careful that we are not giving a false image to our world.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit please help me to reflect the image of Jesus to my world. Show me any area that needs to be adjusted.
