SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Matthew 6:31-33 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
In times of crisis, I am reminded of a great quote, “Our anxieties reveal our priorities!” I don’t get anxious about a shortage of coffee—Cindy and I don’t drink coffee. I only get anxious about the possibility of losing things that are important to me. If my priority is to seek God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven than I don’t have to be afraid of stock market shifts or a virus crisis. I will still be cautious with my money and my health. But I refuse to live in fear. As we put our priority on God’s kingdom then we will ride through the roller-coaster of life. There will always be ups and downs in life. But we can trust that our Heavenly Father will always be there to provide and care for us. When God’s kingdom is my priority then He will see that all the other stuff is taken care of. What are your priorities in life?

I want my priority to always be building the kingdom of God. Holy Spirit help me to use my time, talent, and treasure to advance Your kingdom.
Praise God for this reminder! Holy Spirit help me keep my priorities straight!! A Kingdom mindset and living righteous is what I'm to do and I know that you will take care of everything else. I want my life to reflect that, so the world can see and experience your Glory!
Lord, I want You at the center of my life. For when I put You first, I always see the blessings of life unfold.
Thank You Father that You that provide all that I need. I find there is a big difference between all that I need verses all that I want. Thank You for pointing that out.
