ARE YOU STILL DREAMING?

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
When you were a child, what did you dream of becoming?
When I ask children that question today, the answers are always bold: a President, an NFL quarterback, a world-class surgeon, or even a superhero. No child dreams of simply "occupying a cubicle." Children dream big because, to them, everything is possible.
But then, life happens.
Somewhere along the way, many of us get smacked in the face by reality. We look at the distance between where we are and where we dreamed of being, and we decide the sacrifice is too great. We stop dreaming. We convince ourselves that our highest aspirations are simply impossible.
But what if we really believed the Word of God?
What if we truly leaned into the truth that we serve a God who can “accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think”?
Notice the source of that power: Paul says God does this through His “mighty power at work within us.” It isn't just about what God can do for you; it’s about what He wants to do through you.
As you look toward this new year, I challenge you to dream again. Don't fall into the trap of setting "status quo" goals—the kind you can achieve in your own strength without much effort. Those aren't goals based on vision; they are the goals of someone who has stopped dreaming.
What if you set a goal that was so big it required God to make it happen?
Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to pull us out of the cubicle of "the possible" and show us how to dream with Him again.
A PRAYER FOR THE NEW YEAR
Holy Spirit, help me to dream again. Align my desires with Your heart and give me the courage to pursue them. Help me to believe for the things that look impossible in the natural, trusting that Your power is at work within me. Amen.
