HEAVENLY PRIVILEGES

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.
Ephesians 2:19 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
We have talked about the privileges of being brought into the family of God through the blood of Jesus. Today we will focus on what it means to be citizens of heaven.
1. The Right of Unrestricted Access
Because you are a citizen, you don't need a middleman or an appointment to speak with the King. The "veil" is torn. You have the right to enter the throne room of grace with boldness at any hour of the day or night (Hebrews 4:16).
2. The Right of Diplomatic Protection
An ambassador in a foreign land is under the protection of their home government. As a citizen of Heaven, you are "sealed" by the Holy Spirit. While you face trials, the enemy cannot revoke your status or snatch you out of the Father’s hand. You are under Heaven’s "security detail."
3. The Right of Kingdom Provision
Philippians 4:19 isn't just a nice thought; it's a citizenship benefit. God is obligated by His own Word to provide for His citizens. Your provision is not tied to the "economy of the earth," but to the "riches in glory" of your home country.
4. The Right of Legal Representation
When the "accuser of the brethren" brings a case against you based on your past mistakes, you have a specialized Advocate. Jesus Christ stands as your defense attorney, pleading His own blood as the final settlement for every charge (1 John 2:1).
5. The Right of Inheritance
You aren't just a resident; you are an heir. You have a legal claim to the peace, joy, and authority of Jesus. You don't have to wait until you die to "inherit" the Kingdom; you have the right to use the "family name" and power today.
Living Like a Citizen
A person who knows they have a valid passport doesn't tremble at the border. This week, when fear or lack tries to "deport" your peace, pull out your spiritual credentials. Always remind yourself: "I belong here. My Father is the King, and His resources are mine."
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit, help me internalize these truths today. Help me live as a citizen of heaven while I am here on earth. May my focus and desire be to represent You well on this earth.
