INFINITELY MORE

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
I have always been a dreamer. This verse is a staple in my daily prayer life because it serves as a constant recalibration. It reminds me that my imagination is not the ceiling of God's ability—it is the floor.
As big as I can dream, God can do more. However, I’ve noticed that we often struggle with two specific limitations: Small Requests and Short Timelines.
1. The Challenge of "Asking Too Little"
A few years ago, I was haunted by a single question: “If God answered every prayer I prayed this week, how would the world be different?”
I realized my prayers were safe. They were small. They were mostly about my own comfort. I began to shift my focus toward prayers that could shake cities and shift nations.
Why not ask God to plant a church within walking distance of every person in Africa?
Why not ask God to draw people from every surrounding county to a house of worship?
If your prayers don't require God's "infinitely more" power to accomplish, you might be asking too little.
2. The Trap of "Too Fast"
Our second struggle is a lack of patience. We live in an "instant" culture, and we often mistake a delay for a denial. There is a principle in leadership: We usually overestimate what we can do in one year, but we vastly underestimate what we can do in ten. Instead of being frustrated that your prayer wasn't answered by Friday, start dreaming about what God wants to do over the next decade.
You don’t have to finish the race today; you just have to take one faithful step in the right direction. When you combine small daily steps of faith with God’s "mighty power at work within us," the ten-year result will be something you couldn't have even imagined today.
Stop Thinking, Start Dreaming
Don't let the size of your current circumstances dictate the size of your prayers. You serve the Creator of the universe, and He is looking for people bold enough to ask for the "infinitely more."
The Vision Framework
Take a moment to sit with the Holy Spirit. If time and resources were no object, and God’s "infinitely more" was guaranteed, what would these three areas of your life look like in March 2036?
1. Spiritual Legacy
The Question: Ten years from now, who is walking with Jesus because of your influence?
The "Infinitely More" Goal: _______________________________________
The Small Step Today: Commit to five minutes of intercessory prayer for those names on your list.
2. Kingdom Impact
The Question: If you didn't have to worry about the "how," what major problem in your community or world would you tackle?
The "Infinitely More" Goal: _________________________________________________
The Small Step Today: Research one organization or ministry currently working in that field.
3. Family & Character
The Question: What fruit of the Spirit (patience, peace, self-control) do you want to be known for a decade from now?
The "Infinitely More" Goal: _________________________________________________
The Small Step Today: Practice that specific fruit in your very next conversation.
The "Vision" Filter
Whenever you feel discouraged by slow progress, run your day through this filter:
"Am I planting a seed today that I want to harvest in ten years?"
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit, help me to dream bigger and pray bigger today. Forgive me for playing it safe and asking for so little. Give me the grace to take one positive step today toward the future You have for me, trusting that You are working in ways I cannot yet see. Amen.
