ONLY GOD NEVER FAILS

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Those who fear the Lord are secure; he will be a refuge for their children. Fear of the Lord is a life-giving fountain; it offers escape from the snares of death.”
Proverbs 14:26–27 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Where is your security?
Many people look for security in their intellect, bank accounts, investments, job positions, or networks of family and friends. But all those things have limits—and every one of them can fail. Only God never fails.
Solomon reminds us that fearing the Lord is our true source of security—not just for us, but for our children as well. The choices we make today influence the generations that follow us.
To fear the Lord doesn’t mean to be terrified of Him. It means to honor and respect Him as God—to recognize His authority to lead our lives and to submit to His Word. When we live according to God’s Word, we are living in the fear of the Lord. We are acknowledging that He has the right to be in charge and that His way is best.
Why does fearing the Lord bring security?
Because God is our Creator. He not only made us, but He also designed the entire world we live in. Out of His love, He gave us His Word—the Bible—as an instruction manual for life.
When we study Scripture, we’re not reading just another book; we’re reading the Owner’s Manual written by the One who made us. We don’t have to follow it—but our choices always carry consequences.
Think of it like putting diesel fuel in a gas-powered truck. You can do it—it’s your vehicle, and you can pay for the fuel—but it’s the wrong fuel. The engine will eventually break down, and the problem isn’t with the manufacturer; it’s because we ignored the instructions.
That’s how life works when we choose to ignore God’s Word. We end up with frustration, brokenness, and pain that often traces back to our own disobedience.
When we fear the Lord, we’re saying, “God, I trust that You know what’s best for me.” That kind of reverence and trust becomes a life-giving fountain—bringing stability, blessing, and protection for us and for those who come after us.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit, help me to understand Your will and Your ways. Teach me to walk in the fear of the Lord—to respect Your authority and trust Your Word. Be my guide and my security every day of my life.
