FAITHFUL, CONSTANT AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“I love you, Lord; you are my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and he saved me from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:1–3 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Malcolm Fraser, a former Prime Minister of Australia, once said, “Life wasn’t meant to be easy. That statement captures a truth we all know too well—life in this fallen and sinful world can be hard, unpredictable, and often painful.
King David understood that reality firsthand. Before he ever wore the crown, his life was marked by struggle—running from Saul, facing enemies, and enduring betrayal. Yet out of those difficult seasons came this psalm of victory and praise.
David wrote these words after God delivered him from his enemies, but what made him a man after God’s own heart was this: he praised God even before he saw the victory.
He made it a habit to take his eyes off his problems and fix them on the character of God.
Notice the words David uses to describe the Lord:
• My Rock — solid, unshakable, dependable.
• My Fortress, Shield, and Place of Safety — a secure refuge from every attack, fear, or hardship.
• My Savior — the one who rescues me and redeems my life from destruction.
• My Power — the strength that fuels me when my own strength runs out.
Each of these names reveals a different facet of God’s faithfulness. David didn’t just know about God—he experienced Him in every battle, every valley, and every breakthrough.
So, what do you need God to be for you today?
Do you need a rock to stand on when everything else feels unstable?
A fortress to protect you?
A savior to lift you out of despair?
Or the power to keep going when you’re weary?
Lean into who God is. He is constant, faithful, and always available to you—your rock, fortress, savior, and strength.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit, remind me of Your strength, protection, and provision. When life gets hard, help me to run to You first. Be my Rock when I’m shaken, my Fortress when I’m under attack, and my Power when I am weak. Thank You for always being my place of safety. Amen.
