JUST STOP IT!
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.

TODAY’S THOUGHT
To stop defeating yourself you must stop lying to yourself! Behind every self-defeating act is a lie we’ve believed. We tell ourselves we aren’t hurting anyone. No one will ever know. And the biggest of all, “It’s not really a problem.” But the way you spend money is a problem. Your marriage is in trouble because you don’t talk, and you keep secrets from each other. Your temper is out of control. Your tongue is hurting people. Your lust for pleasure, money, power, or popularity is destroying your soul. Darkness is surrounding your life and you keep trying to ignore it. Sin causes us to lie to ourselves and then that deception leads to more sin. The deeper we fall into sin the deeper we fall into darkness. God’s answer is simple and powerful. Confess our sin to God and repent. In other words, stop it! Until we admit that we are sinners, and we can’t save ourselves we will keep repeating the same behavior. It is like our life is on a loop that never stops. Stop rationalizing, excusing, and tolerating. Decide that you want forgiveness and freedom. You want to be forgiven for the past behavior and freedom to change your future behavior. God has given us a promise—if we confess our sins, He will forgive us from ALL wickedness. There is nothing God cannot forgive.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit today I confess that I am wrong in ________________________. I ask you to forgive me because I know this is sin and it is hurting my life. I ask You to empower me to change this behavior. In Jesus’ name I claim forgiveness and freedom.
