I CHOOSE TO PRAISE EVERYDAY

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!”
Psalms 150:2 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
This verse reminds us that our praise to God should focus on two things: what He has done and who He is.
1. Praise Him for What He Has Done
Our God is the Creator of the universe. He spoke, and out of nothing came everything. He created the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and every resource we need for life.
He is our Redeemer—He rescued us from sin and death by sending His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross in our place. We should never take our salvation for granted. It is a gift we should thank Him for daily.
God has also given us His written Word. The Bible is our guide for living, a source of wisdom, encouragement, and hope in every season.
2. Praise Him for Who He Is
God’s works are amazing, but His character is even greater. His names reveal His nature:
• El Shaddai — The God of more than enough. He can do far more than we could ever ask or imagine.
• Jehovah-Tsidkenu — “The Lord Our Righteousness.” Through Jesus, we have been made right with God (2 Cor. 5:21).
• Jehovah-M’Kaddesh — “The Lord Who Sanctifies.” He has set us free from the power and penalty of sin—we are no longer slaves to sin.
• Jehovah-Shalom — “The Lord Our Peace.” He is our calm in every storm.
• Jehovah-Shammah — “The Lord is There.” His presence lives within us; we are never alone (1 Cor. 3:16).
• Jehovah-Rapha — “The Lord Our Healer.” By the stripes of Jesus, we are healed in spirit, soul, and body (1 Peter 2:24).
• Jehovah-Jireh — “The Lord Our Provider.” He supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Make Praise Your Lifestyle
Let’s choose to daily praise God for who He is and what He has done. Speak His names out loud. Thank Him for His works in your life. Praise turns our focus from our problems to our great and mighty God.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Heavenly Father, today I pause to praise You. You are my God, the great Creator of the universe. You are everything I need today. I thank You for all You have done for me and for who You are in my life. I choose to be a person of praise, lifting Your name high every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
