WE ARE STILL WORTH LOVING

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.
You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.
You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!”
Psalm 139:1–6 NLT
TODAY’S THOUGHT
God knows everything about us—and yet He still loves us!
David reflects on the incredible truth that God knows us completely. He knows our motives, our actions, our thoughts, and even our words before we speak them. He is always with us, surrounding us with His presence, and choosing to bless our lives.
Most of us have parts of our lives we try to hide—from others and sometimes even from ourselves. There’s that habit we don’t like, the attitude that turns sour, or the words we wish we could take back. It’s hard to imagine that God sees all of that and still loves us unconditionally. But He does.
Many people wrestle with loving themselves because of their past. They try to earn love or prove their worth working hard to convince others, and even themselves, that they are lovable. Others try to present an image of perfection, hoping no one will see their flaws. But that kind of striving only leads to exhaustion and emptiness.
What if, instead, we could simply rest in the truth that God already knows everything about us—and still calls us His own?
Sometimes we’re like Adam, hiding from God because of our sin. Other times, like Jonah, we try to run from Him—only to discover that He lovingly pursues us, even through the storms and whales.
How freeing it would be to stop hiding and just accept this truth: God knows you completely, and He still says you are worth loving.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Holy Spirit, help me to truly believe that I am loved by You. Teach me to rest in Your unconditional love and to grow into the person You created me to be. Amen.
