EXPERIENCE GOD’S LOVE

ree

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor.”

Proverbs 21:21 NLT

TODAY’S THOUGHT

There is great power in words. It’s important to pause and unpack them so we can grasp the full depth of the wisdom Solomon is sharing.

1. Righteousness (Tzedaqah)

This word means right relationship—both with God and with others. It’s more than moral behavior; it’s about living in harmony with God’s heart. Righteousness pursues justice, fairness, and compassion. It lifts the vulnerable and seeks peace. A righteous person reflects the character of God in everyday life.

2. Unfailing Love (Chesed)

This Hebrew word describes the very nature of God—His loyal love, mercy, devotion, and compassion. Chesed is steadfast and sacrificial. It’s the kind of love that remains when things get hard.

Picture the elderly spouse who stays by their partner’s side as their health declines—feeding them, cleaning their clothes, praying gently over them, and never leaving their side. That is chesed in action: love that endures, no matter the cost.

3. Honor (Kavod)

This word carries the idea of weight or substance. It’s often used to describe the glory or presence of God—His majesty so powerful and real that it fills the atmosphere.

There have been moments in my life when the kavod of God was so strong that I couldn’t stand. All I could do was fall to the ground in awe before His overwhelming presence.

When we pursue righteousness and unfailing love, Solomon says we will find life, righteousness, and honor. That means we experience the fullness of God—abundant life, healthy relationships, and the dignity that only His presence can bring.

This isn’t something we can produce on our own. It comes from aligning our hearts with God’s heart. As we pursue Him, His life, righteousness, and glory begin to flow through us.

And that flow isn’t just for our benefit—it’s meant to touch others. God fills us so that His love and presence can reach a world that is hurting and dark.

Ask yourself today: Who in your world needs to experience God’s love flowing through you?

TODAY’S PRAYER

Holy Spirit, help me to pursue Your righteousness and unfailing love every day. Let Your presence rest on my life, and may Your love flow through me to a world in need.
